The Solar Wind can get closer to the Earth near the poles. This disrupts satellite, GPS and radio signals.

When Solar Wind interacts with the magnetic field near the poles, it can cause disturbances in it. This causes beautiful polar lights, or auroras

Q: Do Jupiter and Saturn also have auroras?

A: Yes! And absolutely fascinating!

Find out about the Juno spacecraft, launched in 2011 and orbiting Jupiter since 2016.
